An oak longcase clock with an associated dial and movement, the oak case with a swans neck pediment, brass paterae and central ball and spire finial, with plain backsplats and a stepped break arch hood door flanked by two pillars with brass capitals, trunk with round quarter columns and full length door with a decorative top, on a square plinth with a raised panel and shaped skirting, twelve-inch wide brass dial with a matted centre, “female head” spandrels, with “dolphin” spandrels and a silvered convex boss engraved “tempus Fugit” to the arch, engraved chapter ring with Roman numerals and five-minute Arabic’s, half hour markers and minute track, with a slivered “penny moon” and calendar aperture, chapter ring inscribed “Thomas Lister, Luddenden” dial pinned directly to a later eight-day weight-driven rack striking movement with an anchor escapement, striking the hours on a bell. With weights, key and pendulum.
