Mid Victorian 8-day mahogany longcase clock with a painted dial and moon phase disc to the break arch, convex dished dial with Roman numerals, and minute markers, makers name indistinct, non-matching stamped brass hands, calendar aperture and seconds dial, spandrels depicting the four seasons, veneered mahogany case with a swans neck pediment and inlay, canted corners to the trunk with a wavy topped door, square plinth and applied skirting, rack striking movement with a Walker and Hughes cast false plate, striking the hours on a bell. With weights and pendulum.

Mid Victorian 8-day mahogany longcase clock with a painted dial and moon phase disc to the break arch, convex dished dial with Roman numerals, and minute markers, makers name indistinct, non-matching stamped brass hands, calendar aperture and seconds dial, spandrels depicting the four seasons, veneered mahogany case with a swans neck pediment and inlay, canted corners to the trunk with a wavy topped door, square plinth and applied skirting, rack striking movement with a Walker and Hughes cast false plate, striking the hours on a bell. Spelter cased mantle clock with a French striking movement c1905, case with a depiction of two English Boar War solders in combat, modelled on a raised base entitled “The Last Stand”, later painted spelter case with an 8-day movement striking the hours on a bell, enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute markers and non-matching steel hands. No pendulum or Key. Clock cases such as this depicting heroic and virtuous deeds were very popular at the beginning of the 20th century, produced mainly on the continent with large numbers being exported to England.
