 open fretwork to the centre of the hood and a recessed break arch door flanked by two reeded pillars with brass capitals, trunk with canted corners, long oak door and a break arch top, on a rectangular plinth with a raised oak panel and bracket feet, 12” wide painted dial, long Roman numerals and minute track, spandrels painted with corresponding depictions of flowers on a green background with highlighted  gesso work, the arch depicting a classical urn within an oval cartouche, subsidiary seconds dial and semi-circular calendar aperture with a date disc behind, matching steel hands and seconds hand, dial pinned to the movement via a Wilson falseplate, eight-day rack striking weight driven movement with a recoil anchor escapement sounding the hours on a cast bell.
