This week at Duggleby’s brings together seven sales across jewellery, furniture, art, classic motoring, silver, decorative objects and affordable antiques. With auctions closing across Thursday and Friday, the catalogues offer plenty for collectors, interiors buyers and first-time bidders alike.

Jewellery

The Jewellery sale opens with strong diamond pieces and rich coloured stones, with several elegant designs in white metal settings.

A pair of 18ct white gold diamond pendant earrings, Lot 8045, brings serious sparkle to the section. Each stud is set with a pear cut diamond, suspending three rows of graduating pear cut diamonds below. With a total diamond weight of approximately 7.60 carats and an estimate of £6,500 to £7,500, they offer a dramatic evening look with impressive scale. Colour follows with an 18ct white gold ruby and diamond ring, Lot 8032, centred by an oval cut ruby weighing 4.16 carats. Tapered baguette cut diamonds are set to either side, giving the ring a classic three-stone feel with a little Art Deco influence. It carries an estimate of £2,200 to £2,800.

An 18ct gold diamond tassel pendant necklace, Lot 8000, offers movement and texture. The white gold dome top is pavé set with twenty single cut diamonds, suspending thirty-seven foxtail link strands on a matching chain. With a total diamond weight of approximately 1.60 carats, it is estimated at £1,800 to £2,200.

Furniture & Rugs

The Furniture & Rugs sale brings together seating, storage and traditional furniture for a range of interiors, from relaxed living spaces to country-style rooms. A Timothy Oulton for HALO three-seater brown leather Chesterfield sofa, Lot 7011, is one of the standout seating pieces. With buttoned back and arms, two loose cushions and castored supports, it has the familiar comfort and presence associated with the Chesterfield form. It is estimated at £1,000 to £1,500.

A Victorian stripped pine and glazed dresser, Lot 7163, offers both storage and display appeal. The projecting ovolo cornice sits above glazed doors enclosing two shelves, with a lower section fitted with two drawers over panelled cupboards. Estimated at £400 to £600, it would suit a kitchen, dining room or country-style interior. An 18th century oak lowboy, Lot 7136, brings earlier furniture interest to the sale. The rectangular top has a moulded edge and eared front corners, with a single drawer, shaped apron, cabriole supports and pad feet below. It is guided at £150 to £250.

Affordable Art

The Affordable Art sale offers a varied mix of prints, oils and works on paper, with contemporary graphics, animal studies and coastal subjects represented. A limited edition screenprint by Patrick McNiel and Patrick Miller of FAILE, Lot 6568, brings contemporary street art energy to the catalogue. Titled Macbeth, the coloured screenprint is signed, dated 2006 and numbered 158/250 in pencil. Estimated at £200 to £400, it will appeal to buyers drawn to graphic, urban and contemporary printmaking.

A softer animal subject appears in Marion Rodger Hamilton Harvey’s Spaniel and Fox Terrier, Lot 6515. Worked in pastel and charcoal, signed and titled on a label verso, it captures two familiar companions with warmth and character. It is estimated at £200 to £300. A more atmospheric coastal subject comes from Ken Law, whose mixed media work Harbour Town, Lot 6545, is signed with monogram and estimated at £80 to £120. With its harbour setting and broad handling, it offers an accessible route into original art with maritime appeal.

1973 Triumph Stag Mk II

This dedicated single-lot auction features a 1973 Triumph Stag Mk II 3.0 V8 Manual with Overdrive, finished in yellow and supplied with both a removable hardtop and folding soft top.

First registered on 8 March 1973, the car records approximately 50,000 miles and is fitted with a 2,997cc petrol V8 engine and four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The Stag has long been admired as a stylish British grand tourer, combining open-top motoring with V8 character and comfortable long-distance appeal. This example is offered with an extensive history file containing invoices, notes and photographs documenting restoration and mechanical work. Records indicate that the engine was rebuilt at approximately 36,000 miles, with further work understood to include an upgraded radiator, electric cooling fan, fuel pump and filters, ignition components, braking parts, tyres, front lights, LED bulbs, seals, interior trim items and seat components.

Believed to have been dry-stored from 1994 until 2017, the car was later subject to a programme of recommissioning and improvement between 2017 and 2023. It is offered with V5C, hardtop, soft top, photographic record, earlier MOT certificates and useful spare parts, including a new dashboard veneer set.

Silver

The Silver sale includes tableware, presentation pieces and collectable silver, with sporting, domestic and commemorative interest across the catalogue. A strong sporting highlight is The Spillers Stewards Cup, Goodwood 1973 Alphadamus, Lot 8601. This silver two-handled rose bowl by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd is set on an ebonised plinth and commemorates Alphadamus, winner of the Stewards Cup in 1973. The victory also gave Sir Michael Stoute his first major career success, adding an important racing connection. It is estimated at £2,000 to £2,500. A late Victorian four-piece silver tea set, Lot 8539, offers traditional silver at scale. Comprising teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and milk jug, the pieces feature embossed decoration and engraved cartouches. Dating to 1899, with Chester and Birmingham hallmarks, the set carries an estimate of £1,000 to £2,000.

A more modern commemorative piece appears in Lot 8556, an Elizabeth II silver and parcel gilt Wells Cathedral goblet by Hector Miller for Aurum. Limited edition number 79 of 800, it was produced to commemorate the eighth centenary in 1982 and features a pierced figural stem. It is estimated at £300 to £500.

Antique & Decorative Objects

The Antique & Decorative Objects sale brings together ceramics, novelty pieces and collectables, with well-known names and plenty of visual appeal. A Royal Doulton limited edition set of Henry VIII and his six wives, Lot 6007, is one of the most characterful ceramic groups in the sale. Including King Henry VIII and figures of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr, the set carries an estimate of £450 to £650.

For collectors of arcade and amusement pieces, Bryans Elevenses penny slot machine, Lot 6086, has strong nostalgic appeal. Housed in a wooden case with chrome fittings and described as working, it is estimated at £400 to £600. A Royal Worcester pot pourri vase, Lot 6010, brings a classic decorative note. Painted with Highland cattle by Harry Stinton, with gilt decoration and a pierced cover, the piece has a date code for 1923 and is estimated at £50 to £100.
