Our Luxury Accessories sale on Friday 23 October 2026 had 250 lots and it was a big one, filled with a great deal of luxury. Designer watches, handbags, fine jewellery, leather goods and a handful of delightful curiosities came from some of the best-known names in fashion and jewellery, among them Patek Philippe, Hermès, Chanel, Cartier and Boodles.

Some of the pieces carried details worth lingering over. Let us start with the one that kept bidders watching the clock.

Time on the Wrist

The Patek Philippe Twenty~4 in lot 21 was, in our view, the star of the sale. Its sunburst grey dial, diamond dot hour markers and diamond set case, together with its original bracelet and box, drew it clear of the field at £7,600. Behind it, the Chanel Matelassé with its diamond bezel made £950 and the Hermès Cape Cod, boxed with its 2011 guarantee, achieved £750. The gold-plated Dior Bagheera Black Moon found a new home at £140.

Statement Bags

Chanel, Fendi, Hermès and Prada each brought a different silhouette to the handbag section, from structured totes to soft bucket shapes. The Chanel Grand Shopping Tote, lot 1 of the sale, set the tone at £1,800, with the Fendi Selleria Baguette close behind at £1,700. The Hermès Picotin Lock 22 in Noir Taurillon Clémence went on to make £950, while the Prada Bauletto in Quarzo pebbled calf was knocked down at £900. Complete packaging, from authenticity cards to dust bags, accompanied several of these bags.

Silver, Gold and Diamonds

A silver bracelet outdid the diamonds here, which is not something we see every day. The Hermès Crescendo bracelet in lot 100 realised £3,600, ahead of the Boodles Maze pendant, which fetched £2,000. That London 2014 piece carries ten round brilliant cut diamonds on the pendant and two more on the chain, with a diamond set clasp, for a total of 0.40 carat. The Cartier Ellipse ring, with its single 0.25 carat diamond and certificate, reached £1,000, and the Tiffany & Co. 'Mini Metro' heart pendant sold for £600.

Wallets and Pochettes

Small leather goods are often where a first designer purchase begins, and this section drew steady bidding. The orange Togo leather Hermès Dogon Duo wallet made £550, with its Clou de Selle fastening. The Louis Vuitton 'New Wave' long wallet followed at £300, then the Prada Saffiano Metal zip-around at £190 and the cherry-red Louis Vuitton 'Lucy' pochette at £170.

Finishing Touches

Belts, agendas and bag charms showed how a single detail can complete an outfit. The reversible Hermès belt, with its openwork H buckle, was the priciest here at £180. Lot 2, the Hermès 'Mini-Dominos In-the-Pocket' game, a miniature domino set in a tan leather press-stud case, made £160. The c.1990s Chanel agenda cover and the articulated Prada 'Robot' charm each achieved £150.

Curiosities and Collectables

Not everything in the sale was worn or carried. Some of it was written with, played with or simply enjoyed on a desk. The hallmarked Asprey 9ct gold cigar cutter, with its engine turned decoration, fetched £400, and the Steiff for Mulberry teddy bear in its striped jumper made £320. The Montblanc Meisterstuck no.149 fountain pen, with its 14ct gold nib, reached £260 and the Hermès set of four miniature porcelain ashtrays, each with a horse in a different blanket, found a new home at £190.

From the diamond bezels of the watch section to the miniature dominos in their leather case, this 250-lot sale showed the range of what luxury can mean. If you would like to see how every lot performed, you can browse the full results using the link below.
