Duggleby Stephenson provide a comprehensive, stress-free service for the sale of anything from an individual item to an entire collection or house contents.

The Process:

  1. Valuation
    Before we can sell anything, we must first value it. Items can be brought into our Salerooms Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, where one of our specialist valuers will be happy to provide a free valuation. Items can also be brought to The Valuation Office, Beverley on Mondays, when specialist valuer Graham Paddison holds a weekly valuation day. Alternatively, if you are unable to bring your items to us in person, we offer a free online valuation service. Simply upload photos of your items, and we will provide an approximate valuation via email.
    For larger collections and items of furniture, we also offer complimentary Home Valuations. Call our office on +44 (0) 1904 393 300, and we will arrange for a valuer to visit your property and assess the items in person. We offer a full house clearance service, and the valuer will be able to advise you on which items are suitable for auction.
  2. Transport
    If you are unable to bring your items to us (either in person or in the post) then we can arrange to have them collected from you and brought to the Salerooms. Our dedicated fleet or vans can accommodate collections of any size, and all items are handled with the utmost care by our team of experienced drivers and porters.
  3. Auction
    Your items will then be entered into the next suitable auction. We hold a diverse calendar of auctions, including frequent specialist sales, ensuring your items will reach their ideal target audience. All of our sales are hosted online, both via and our own DS Live platform, meaning your items will have an international audience, allowing to reach their true value and beyond. We offer professional studio photography for all lots, and our auctions are advertised in both local and national print publications.
  4. Payment
    Prompt payment for your items will be made either by BACS transfer or cheque within two weeks of the sale, subject to our selling charges.
