04/06/2021

On 4th June, a first-rate catalogue of furniture, clocks and everything interiors goes up for auction. The collection of clocks is particularly strong, and includes two interesting brass examples in particular: a mid 18th century lantern clock (lot 520) and a Congreve rolling ball clock (lot 522). Mirrors, rugs and a fine furniture category follow - including a Victorian walnut penny-in-the-slot polyphon music box (lot 540), a Victorian ebonised bi-fold screen enclosing taxidermy birds, flora and fauna (lot 542) and lot 822, a 1980''''s Eero Aarnio ''''Viking'''' dining suite, complete with a set of ten dining chairs. Garden and architectural lots finish the sale - including the classical design cast iron urn (lot 855).
