With provenance from a North facing cellar on a North Yorkshire estate, this 7th October Antiques, Fine Art & Collectors sale features an outstanding single private owner collection of vintage port, including a number of excellent vintages. Grahams 1948 vintage was described by James Suckling as ‘one of those magic wines that could last 100 years’, 1963 being described as ‘a vintage against which all others are judged’, 1985 was the first vintage to be unanimously declared since 1975 - and 1977 is another classic year. In addition, there is the usual unique assortment of antiques, ceramics, glass, collectors items & fine art, including lots such as a series of thirty photographs of Palestine during the disturbances circa 1936-9 by M.N.Wallace, estimated at £100 - £150 and Henry Tanworth Wells R.A''''s The Faggot Gatherer (estimate £1,200 - £1,800).
