English - early 19th century 8-day oak longcase clock c1820, with a swans neck pediment and brass patera, broken arch door beneath flanked by two reeded pilaster with brass capitals, trunk with recessed quarter columns and capitals, trunk door with crossbanding and a wavy top, square plinth with a raised panel and bracket feet, painted dial with upright Arabic numerals, seconds dial and steel hands, painted spandrels and birds of paradise to the centre, with a depiction of a shepherdess to the breakarch, dial pinned directly to a rack striking movement with a recoil anchor escapement, striking the hours on a bell.
